About Greenfields ………

Greenfields is a communal home where fit elderly persons over the age of 60 rent a room and share the facilities, including the preparation of meals.

The main house consists of 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 lounges, a spacious kitchen and dining room.

Outdoor living includes a spacious garden, swimming pool, and thatched gazebo. There is also a two-bedroom cottage on the property and the committee is currently preparing to open a Tea Garden and Craft Shop. The funds derived from this venture will be put towards further development.

Greenfields was inspired by the ‘Abbeyfield concept’ where affordable rented accommodation is made available to the elderly (no capital required), and, more importantly, where loneliness is relieved. The current “family” at Greenfields consists of 8 people.
